Product Description

Audio - Technica has expanded its direct - drive turntable lineup with the semi - automatic AT - LP8X. It features a newly designed tonearm lift that automatically raises the tonearm at the end of a record side and stops the motor, offering a hassle - free listening experience. The J - shaped aluminum tonearm, inspired by classic A - T models from the 1960s and 70s, comes with a newly designed AT - LT10 headshell and an AT - VM95E BK (black) cartridge with a 0.3 x 0.7 mil elliptical stylus. This setup provides excellent channel separation and low distortion, delivering outstanding tonal quality. The stylus can be easily replaced or interchanged with any of the five additional styli in the VM95 line, allowing for easy customization. Also, the tonearm’s VTA adjustment and sub - counterweight let you use a wide range of other cartridges. The AT - LP8X can play 33 - 1/3, 45, and 78* RPM records. Its 25 mm rubber - damped, anti - resonance, die - cast aluminum platter, with a 2.5 mm rubber mat, is driven by a sensor - monitored motor that ensures a continuously accurate platter rotation speed. The motor and its efficient internal switching power supply are housed in a box plinth made of 16 mm MDF. It has height - adjustable feet to protect against unwanted noise and vibration. The turntable comes with a detachable RCA output cable (dual RCA male to dual RCA male with ground), a 45 RPM adapter, and a removable hinged dust cover. Key features include a semi - automatic direct - drive design with three speeds, a motor with a speed - sensor system, a newly designed low - torque direct - drive DC servo motor for better wow and flutter performance, and more.

Using the Audio - Technica AT - LP8X is easy. First, make sure it's placed on a stable surface. Connect the detachable RCA output cable to your amplifier or receiver. If you're playing a 45 RPM record, use the included 45 RPM adapter. Then, just turn on the turntable, select the right speed, and drop the tonearm gently onto the record. The tonearm lift will automatically raise the tonearm at the end of the record side and stop the motor. When it comes to maintenance, keep the turntable clean. Use the removable hinged dust cover when it's not in use to protect it from dust. You can clean the platter and tonearm with a soft, dry cloth. If you need to replace the stylus, it's easy to do as it's compatible with any VM95 Series replacement stylus. Remember to handle the stylus with care as it's delicate. Also, make sure the power supply is within the 100 - 240V, 50/60 Hz range to avoid any electrical issues.
