Product Description

In the 70s, the first 2500 series synth modules hit the market, priced very high. They were mostly discrete transistor designs with some high-cost op-amps. This discrete circuitry gave the modules a unique sound, used by big names like The Who, Jean Michel Jarre, Vangelis, and Kraftwerk to create some of the greatest records and film soundtracks. Modular synths were a major step in electronic music, and now it's getting even better. This classic 1006 analog FiltAmp module authentically reproduces the '2500' Series circuitry. It features a 24 dB transistor ladder low-pass filter followed by a discrete VCA. The filter cut-off frequency can be controlled by external voltages and the Frequency control. There are 3 external VCF control voltage inputs with variable attenuation responding at 1 V/Octave. Adjust the resonance at cut-off with the Resonance control. You can mix 2 audio signals and adjust their amplitudes. The VCA takes the VCF output and modifies the signal level based on the Gain control and external voltages. Two external VCA control signals can be attenuated via front panel controls. You can select the VCA mode as either Exponential or Linear. It meets Eurorack specs: 16 HP, XX mA +12 V, XX mA -12 V.

Using this Behringer 1006 Filtamp module is a breeze. First, connect your audio sources to the appropriate inputs. To control the filter cut - off frequency, you can use the Frequency control knob or external control voltages. If you want to add some resonance to your sound, adjust the Resonance control. For mixing audio signals, just plug in two audio sources and you can tweak their relative amplitudes. When it comes to the VCA, it takes the output from the VCF. You can adjust the output signal level using the Gain control and external control voltages. You can also choose between Exponential and Linear VCA modes. As for external VCA control signals, use the front - panel controls to adjust their attenuation. Remember to follow the Eurorack power requirements (16 HP, XX mA +12 V, XX mA -12 V) to avoid any power - related issues. Keep the module in a dry and clean place. Avoid exposing it to extreme temperatures or humidity. Regularly check the connections to make sure they are secure. If you notice any problems, refer to the manufacturer's troubleshooting guide or contact customer support.
