The basswood body has a big - leaf maple top and five - ply binding. The bolt - on quartersawn maple neck is crafted to Eddie's exact specs, reinforced with graphite and has a hand - rubbed back for smooth and fast playing. The 12' - 16' compound radius ebony fingerboard has 22 vintage stainless steel frets, with pearloid inlays in the Ivory finish. The bridge features a custom - wound alnico 2 EVH® Wolfgang® Humbucker, and the neck has a newly added alnico 3 custom - wound EVH® Wolfgang Humbucker, both controlled by a special reverse - oriented three - way toggle switch. With the red - button kill switch, you can create stutter - stop effects, and the EVH High Friction (Tone) Pot and Low Friction (Volume) Pot ensure crackle - free playing. The EVH - branded Floyd Rose® locking tremolo offers endless sustain and precise tuning. The EVH D - Tuna® allows for accurate drop - D retuning. Using your EVH Wolfgang USA Electric Guitar is a breeze. First, make sure it's properly tuned using the EVH - branded Gotoh® tuning machines. The three - way toggle switch gives you different pickup combinations, so play around with it to find your favorite tone. The red - button kill switch is great for creating unique stutter - stop effects, just press it while playing. When using the EVH D - Tuna® to retune to drop - D, do it slowly and carefully for accurate results. For maintenance, keep the guitar clean by wiping it with a soft cloth after each use. Avoid exposing it to extreme temperatures and humidity as this can damage the wood and hardware. If you need to adjust the truss rod, use the heel - mount truss rod adjustment wheel, but do it in small increments and check the neck relief regularly. Replace the strings when they start to lose their tone, and use the provided EVH® Nickel Plated Steel strings for the best sound. When not in use, store the guitar in the included EVH® Wolfgang® hardshell case to protect it from scratches and impacts.
