Product Description

The reimagined 5150® Series Standard electric guitar is engineered for speed, comfort, and a full - throttle attitude. It combines throwback charm with modern features. This guitar has a modified Strat® - style basswood body with a deeper upper body curve, just like its predecessor. The graphite - reinforced bolt - on quartersawn maple neck has a comfortable modified 'C' profile, a hand - rubbed satin urethane back finish, a heel - mount truss rod adjustment wheel, and a color - matched 'hockey stick' headstock with an EVH® logo decal. The 12' - 16' compound radius ebony fingerboard, with 22 jumbo frets and cream dot inlays, offers smooth and speedy playability. Unlike the original striped model with a single humbucking bridge pickup, the new 5150 comes with an HH pickup configuration controlled by a three - way toggle switch. The custom - designed EVH® Wolfgang® Alnico 2 humbucking bridge pickup provides the perfect punch, articulation, sweet sustain, and thick rhythms in a well - balanced EQ curve. The neck pickup offers powerful overdrive and endless sustain, and clean tones when the volume is lowered. A custom low - friction volume knob ensures smooth volume swells, while the high - friction tone knob stays in place. There's also a lower bout kill switch for stutter and rhythmic effects. The guitar is equipped with a 'nave - bomb' certified EVH - branded top - mount Floyd Rose® bridge. The locking tailpiece has fine tuners for each string and a patented EVH D - Tuna® for quick tuning changes between drop - D and standard. Specifications include a 5150™ body shape, basswood body material, satin urethane body finish, EVH® Modified 'C' neck profile, ebony fretboard, 12' - 16' compound radius fretboard, 25.5' scale length, 22 jumbo frets, cream dot inlays, direct - mount EVH® Wolfgang® humbucking pickups, an EVH® - branded Floyd Rose® locking tremolo bridge, EVH® nickel - plated steel strings, EVH® - branded Gotoh® tuning machines, and black hardware finish.

Using your EVH 5150 Series Standard Left - handed Electric Guitar is a breeze. First, plug it into your amplifier using a standard instrument cable. Use the three - way toggle switch to select between different pickup combinations for various tones. The volume and tone knobs let you adjust the sound to your liking. The low - friction volume knob is great for smooth volume swells, so play around with it for some cool effects. The kill switch on the lower bout can be used to create stutter and rhythmic effects, like in some classic rock songs. When it comes to tuning, the EVH D - Tuna® on the bridge makes it easy to switch between drop - D and standard tuning quickly. Just turn the fine - tuners on the locking tailpiece to get each string in perfect pitch. For maintenance, keep your guitar clean. Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the body and fretboard after each use. Avoid exposing it to extreme temperatures and humidity, as this can damage the wood and affect the tuning. If the strings start to sound dull or lose their tone, replace them with new EVH® nickel - plated steel strings of the same gauge. Also, check the truss rod adjustment wheel periodically to make sure the neck is in good shape. If you're not sure how to do that, it's best to take it to a professional guitar technician.
