Launched in 1976, the CE-1 Chorus Ensemble was a revolutionary product, being both the world's first chorus effect pedal and the very first BOSS pedal. Three years later, its innovative sound was packed into the blue CE-2 Chorus, and chorus pedals have been a part of the compact lineup ever since. Even after four decades, musicians worldwide still adore the spacious modulated tone of the signature BOSS effect. In 2016, to mark the 40th anniversary of BOSS innovation, the original analogue chorus sounds were reborn in the Waza Craft CE-2W. The Standard mode of the CE-2W precisely recreates the classic CE-2 chorus sound and adds a wide new sound field with stereo output, which the mono CE-2 lacked. The CE-1 mode fully reproduces the stereo chorus and vibrato sounds of the legendary CE-1, with the added feature of variable chorus depth that the original pedal didn't have. To honor the birth of BOSS effects, the CE-2W is exclusively made in Japan, just like the original CE-1 and CE-2. Features: Special edition Waza Craft pedal offers the ultimate BOSS tone experience. Standard mode perfectly replicates the legendary CE-2 sound. CE-1 mode features chorus and vibrato, accurately reproducing the two stereo sound modes of the world's first chorus pedal. It includes new sounds not available in the original pedals, such as CE-2 stereo output and variable depth for CE-1 chorus sounds. Rate and Depth knobs allow for fine sound adjustment in both pedal modes. It has a premium all-analogue circuitry with a bucket-brigade (BBD) delay line. Made in Japan to celebrate the 40th anniversary of BOSS effects. Using the BOSS CE-2W Chorus Waza Craft Guitar Effects Pedal is quite straightforward. First, insert the 9V alkaline battery that comes with it or connect it to a power source. Then, turn on the pedal. You can choose between the Standard mode and the CE-1 mode. In the Standard mode, you'll get that classic CE-2 chorus sound with a new stereo sound field. In the CE-1 mode, you can enjoy the chorus and vibrato sounds like the world's first chorus pedal. Use the Rate and Depth knobs to adjust the sound according to your preference. When it comes to maintenance, keep the pedal in a dry and clean place. Avoid exposing it to extreme temperatures or humidity. If you're not using it for a long time, remove the battery to prevent leakage. Also, refer to the owner's manual for more detailed safety instructions and important notes.
