The ESP-RA™ is Evidence Audio's first solderable 1/4' phone connector. Like all Evidence Audio products, it's designed to sound significantly better than its competitors. Its compact and angled design makes it perfect for smaller cables on pedalboards, especially those with an outer diameter of 4 mm (around 0.155'). Most plugs for guitar pedalboard patch cables use steel nails or pot metal, which are ferrous and magnetic. While they're compact, they sacrifice audio quality for affordability. In contrast, the ESP-RA™ uses high-copper-content brass at the contact point and features a patent-pending closure system. It's a right-angle connector compatible with various cables, including Evidence Audio Blackrock, Monorail, and more. The housing dimensions are 16 mm (W) x 8 mm (D) x 25 mm (H).

Using the Evidence Audio ESP Soldered Right Angle Plug is easy. First, make sure your cable is the right size - it works best with cables having an outer diameter of about 4 mm. Then, solder the cable to the plug following basic soldering procedures. When using it on a pedalboard, its right-angle design allows for a more compact setup. As for maintenance, keep it clean from dust and debris. Avoid using abrasive materials that could scratch the brass contact point. If you're not using it for a long time, store it in a dry place. And remember, don't force the plug into a socket that doesn't fit properly to prevent damage.
