Product Description

The Fender American Ultra II is Fender's most advanced instrument series, crafted for players who boldly pursue the best. These guitars and basses feature top - notch materials, precise craftsmanship, and cutting - edge design, setting new standards and standing the test of time. The Fender American Ultra II Jazz Bass has a carefully selected alder body with sculpted contours. Its quartersawn maple neck has a Fender Modern D profile and a smooth Ultra Satin finish for easy playing. The ebony 10” - 14” compound radius fingerboard has Ultra rolled edges, medium - jumbo frets, Luminlay side dots, and a Graph Tech TUSQ nut. The tapered neck heel and body contours give great access to the higher register, and the truss rod access at the headstock makes setup and adjustment a breeze. It comes with specially designed Ultra II Noiseless Vintage Jazz Bass pickups, offering a wide tonal range from vintage warmth to modern snap, without any hum. The redesigned preamp gives you amazing control for endless tonal options, including S - 1 switching for active/passive operation, passive tone control, and 3 - band active EQ with switchable midrange frequency. Other useful features are an adjustable HiMass top - load or string - through - body bridge, Fender light - weight tuners with tapered shafts, knurled aluminium knobs, and a 1 - ply anodized aluminium pickguard. This bass combines iconic style with advanced features to take your playing to new heights. Ideal for players who want perfect tone, great versatility, and outstanding performance. Using the Fender American Ultra II Jazz Bass is a breeze. First, tune your bass using the Fender light - weight tuners with tapered shafts. Make sure the strings are at the right tension for your playing style. When you're ready to play, the smooth Ultra Satin finish on the neck and the Ultra rolled edges on the fingerboard will give you a comfortable feel. The S - 1 switching on the preamp allows you to switch between active and passive operation. For a warmer vintage tone, you can use the passive mode. In the active mode, the 3 - band active EQ with switchable midrange frequency gives you more control over the sound. As for maintenance, keep your bass clean. Use a soft cloth to wipe off any dust or fingerprints. After playing, loosen the strings a bit to relieve the tension on the neck. If you need to adjust the truss rod, use the access at the headstock. But be careful and make small adjustments at a time. When storing your bass, put it in the deluxe moulded case provided to protect it from damage and changes in humidity.
