Product Description

In the early 1970s, as popular music leaned towards the rich tones of humbucking pickups through overdriven amps, Fender brought in the legendary Seth Lover to design a high - output dual - coil pickup with a distinct Fender touch. The Wide Range pickup, using large bobbins and threaded CuNiFe rod magnets, produces a unique and amazing sound. The Telecaster® Custom was discontinued in 1979, and real CuNiFe - magnet pickups vanished along with it. The American Original ‘70s Telecaster Custom now features the first genuine CuNiFe magnet - powered Wide Range neck pickup in over 40 years. It's paired with a calibrated ‘70s Telecaster single - coil bridge pickup designed by Tim Shaw. Each pickup has its own volume and tone controls, and there's a 3 - way toggle switch on the upper bout. This guitar has original - era body radii, vintage - style hardware like F logo tuners and bullet truss rod adjust, and a lacquer finish that allows the wood to breathe, enhancing the resonant tone. It comes with a vintage - style hardshell case. Using your Fender American Original 70s Telecaster Custom is a breeze. First, plug it into your amplifier using a guitar cable. Adjust the individual volume and tone controls for each pickup to get the sound you like. The 3 - way toggle switch lets you switch between different pickup combinations. When it comes to playing, hold the guitar comfortably. Use your fretting hand to press down on the strings at the desired frets and your picking hand to strum or pick the strings. As for maintenance, keep your guitar in the included vintage - style hardshell case when not in use to protect it from dust, scratches, and temperature changes. Wipe the strings with a clean cloth after each use to remove sweat and dirt, which can extend their lifespan. Check the tuning regularly and use the Fender® Vintage 'F' stamped tuning machines to adjust as needed. If you notice any issues with the action or intonation, it might be time to take it to a professional guitar technician for a setup.
