Product Description

In the fall of 1950, Fender revolutionized the guitar and popular music world by introducing the Broadcaster®, the first solid - body electric guitar with a truss rod and two pickups. But soon, due to a trademark issue, it went through name changes, from 'Broadcaster' to 'Nocaster®' and finally to 'Telecaster®'. Only about 250 original Broadcasters were made, making them highly collectible. The Fender® 70th Anniversary Broadcaster pays homage to this iconic model's amazing origins. It features an ash body with a beautiful Blackguard Blonde lacquer finish, a period - correct black phenolic pickguard, a thick 'U' - shaped neck, and Custom Shop - designed '50 - '51 Blackguard pickups. It comes with a special anniversary neck plate, an embroidered case, and a custom Certificate of Authenticity (COA). The controls work like a standard Telecaster, and there's an optional original Broadcaster wiring kit in the case to replicate the unique 'blend' circuit of the original models. This limited - edition guitar is only available in 2020. Specifications: Body Shape: Telecaster; Body Material: Ash; Body Colour: Blackguard Blonde; Body Finish: Gloss Nitrocellulose Lacquer; Fretboard Material: 1 - Piece Maple; Fretboard Radius: 7.25' (184.1 mm); Scale Length: 25.5' (648 mm); No. of Frets: 21; Fretboard Inlays: Black Dot; Pickup(s): Custom Shop Designed '50 - '51 Blackguard; Bridge: 3 - Saddle Vintage - Style Strings - Through - Body Tele® with Brass Barrel Saddles; Pickguard: 1 - Ply Black Phenolic; Strings: Fender® USA 250R Nickel Plated Steel (.010 - .046 Gauges), PN 0730250406; Tuning Machines: Vintage - Style; Hardware Finish: Nickel/Chrome; Case: Vintage Tweed Case.

Using your Fender 70th Anniversary Broadcaster is a breeze. First, make sure your guitar is properly tuned using the vintage - style tuning machines. You can use the standard Telecaster wiring for a classic sound, or if you want to experience the unique 'blend' circuit of the original Broadcasters, install the optional wiring kit included in the case. When playing, be gentle with the fretboard and the pickups to avoid any damage. As for maintenance, keep your guitar in the provided vintage tweed case when not in use to protect it from dust and scratches. Wipe the body with a soft, dry cloth regularly to maintain the gloss nitrocellulose lacquer finish. Check the strings periodically and replace them when they start to lose their tone or show signs of wear. Also, make sure the tuning machines are in good working condition and lubricate them if necessary. With proper care, your Fender 70th Anniversary Broadcaster will last you a long time and provide you with amazing music.
