Product Description

On Van Halen’s 1978 self - titled debut album cover, Eddie Van Halen showed off his black - and - white striped Strat® - style guitar, like he was unveiling the future. Back then, this guitar was a total novelty as Eddie crafted it himself. The new EVH® Striped Series ’78 Eruption guitar combines Eddie's famous modifications with modern features and a relic look. The Stratocaster® - style basswood body has Eddie's iconic white - and - black - striped lacquer finish. It comes with a quartersawn maple neck with a hand - rubbed satin urethane back. The 12” - 16” compound radius maple fingerboard with 22 jumbo frets offers comfort for fast playing, and the heel - mount truss rod wheel simplifies neck adjustments. A single EVH Wolfgang® humbucking bridge pickup delivers classic Eddie Van Halen tones, from clean to rich mids and lows. The brass nut and six - saddle vintage Fender® Stratocaster synchronized tremolo bridge with a 43mm brass block give an authentic EVH sound. Using this EVH guitar is a breeze. First, make sure the strings are properly tuned using the EVH - branded Gotoh® tuning machines. Plug in your amplifier and start strumming. The single EVH Wolfgang® humbucking bridge pickup gives you a wide range of tones, so you can experiment with different settings on your amp. When it comes to neck adjustments, use the heel - mount truss rod wheel to keep the neck in good shape. For maintenance, wipe the guitar down after each use with a soft cloth to remove fingerprints and dust. Avoid exposing the guitar to extreme temperatures or humidity as it can damage the lacquer finish and the wood. The included gig bag is great for transporting the guitar, but make sure it's zipped up properly to prevent scratches. If you need to adjust the bridge or change the strings, refer to the user manual that comes with the guitar. And don't forget to use the tremolo arm to add some cool effects to your playing, but be gentle to avoid damaging the bridge.
