Engineered for speed, comfort, and a full - throttle attitude, the reimagined 5150® Series Standard electric guitar is a blast from the past, combining throwback and modern features. It has a modified Strat® - style basswood body with a deeper upper body curve. The graphite - reinforced bolt - on quartersawn maple neck has a comfortable modified “C” profile, a hand - rubbed satin urethane back finish, a heel - mount truss rod adjustment wheel, and a color - matched “hockey stick” headstock with an EVH® logo decal. The 12” - 16” compound radius ebony fingerboard, with 22 jumbo frets and cream dot inlays, offers smooth and speedy playability. Unlike the original striped version with a single humbucking bridge pickup, the new 5150 comes with an HH pickup configuration controlled by a three - way toggle switch. The custom - designed EVH® Wolfgang® Alnico 2 humbucking bridge pickup provides the right amount of punch, articulation, sweet sustain, and thick rhythms with a balanced EQ. The neck pickup offers great overdrive and sustain, and clean tones when the volume is lowered. A low - friction volume knob ensures smooth volume swells, and a high - friction tone knob stays in place. There's also a lower bout kill switch for rhythmic effects. It features a “nave - bomb” certified EVH - branded top - mount Floyd Rose® bridge with fine - tuners for each string and a patented EVH D - Tuna® for quick tuning changes. Available in Ice Blue Metallic or Stealth Black with all - black hardware, including EVH - branded Gotoh® tuning machines. Specifications include a 5150® body shape, basswood body material, satin urethane body finish, and more.

Using your EVH 5150 Standard Electric Guitar is a breeze. First, make sure you tune it properly. You can use the EVH - branded Gotoh® tuning machines for this. If you want to switch between drop - D and standard tuning quickly, use the EVH D - Tuna® on the bridge. When playing, use the three - way toggle switch to choose between different pickup combinations. The low - friction volume knob is great for smooth volume swells, and the high - friction tone knob will stay in place even if you accidentally bump it. You can also use the kill switch on the lower bout for some cool rhythmic effects. For maintenance, keep your guitar clean. Wipe it down with a soft cloth after each use to remove fingerprints and dirt. Check the strings regularly. The EVH® Nickel Plated Steel strings will wear out over time, so replace them when they start to sound dull. Also, check the truss rod adjustment wheel on the neck heel if you notice any issues with the neck curvature. When storing your guitar, keep it in a cool, dry place to prevent damage to the wood and hardware. And don't forget to use the included tremolo arm and hex keys for any adjustments.
