Product Description

Engineered for speed, comfort and an all - out attitude, the reimagined 5150® Series Deluxe is a legendary throwback with a modern twist. It combines the best of old - school charm and contemporary features. The 5150 Deluxe Poplar Burl has a modified Strat® - style basswood body with a deeper upper body curve, just like its predecessor. The graphite - reinforced bolt - on quartersawn maple neck has a comfortable modified “C” profile, a hand - rubbed satin urethane back finish, a heel - mount truss rod adjustment wheel and a colour - matched “hockey stick” headstock with the EVH® logo decal. The 12” - 16” compound radius ebony fingerboard, featuring 22 jumbo frets and cream dot inlays, ensures smooth and speedy playability. Unlike the original striped model with a single humbucking bridge pickup, the new 5150 Deluxe comes with an HH pickup configuration controlled by a three - way toggle on the upper bout. The custom - designed EVH® Wolfgang® Alnico 2 humbucking bridge pickup offers the right amount of punch, articulation, sweet sustain and thick rhythms with a balanced EQ. The EVH Wolfgang Alnico 2 humbucking neck pickup provides powerful overdrive and endless sustain, and clear cleans when the volume is lowered. A custom low - friction volume knob allows for smooth volume swells, while the high - friction tone knob stays in place. There's also a lower bout kill switch for cool rhythmic effects. The guitar is equipped with a “nave - bomb” certified EVH - branded top - mount Floyd Rose® bridge. The locking tailpiece has fine - tuners for each string and a patented EVH D - Tuna® for quick drop - D to standard tuning changes. With a unique poplar burl top in Aqua Burst or Black Burst and all - chrome hardware including EVH - branded Gotoh® tuning machines, the 5150 Deluxe is a real eye - catcher. You can switch between drop - D and standard tuning quickly with the EVH D - Tuna® on the locking tailpiece. When you're ready to play, use the three - way toggle on the upper bout to select between different pickup configurations. Adjust the volume with the low - friction volume knob for smooth swells, and use the high - friction tone knob to set your desired tone. If you want to create some cool stuttering or rhythmic effects, hit the lower bout kill switch. As for maintenance, keep your guitar in a dry place to prevent damage to the wood and electronics. Wipe down the strings after each use to prevent corrosion. The fretboard can be cleaned with a soft, dry cloth. If you need to adjust the truss rod, use the heel - mount truss rod adjustment wheel, but be careful not to over - adjust. And don't forget to check the fine - tuners on the locking tailpiece regularly to keep your strings in tune. Always refer to the user manual that comes with the guitar for more detailed instructions.
