Using the Alesis V49 MKII is a breeze. First, connect it to your PC or Mac via the provided USB cable. You'll notice it powers on right away thanks to the plug - and - play feature. To start making music, play on the 49 full - size keys or use the velocity - sensitive pads. Adjust virtual instruments and DAW settings with the 4 MIDI - assignable knobs. You can access the full piano range using the octave buttons. For more expression, use the pitch - bend and modulation wheels. When using the arpeggiator, pick one of the 6 modes and set the tempo. You can connect an external sustain pedal (sold separately) to the 1/4” TS input for more control. As for maintenance, keep it in a dry and clean place. Wipe it gently with a soft cloth if it gets dirty. Make sure your system meets the requirements (Standard USB 2.0 port, Windows 8 (x64), MacOS 10.13.6) to avoid any issues.
