It also performs well with PAF - style humbuckers. This fuzz was designed with bright guitars and clean amps in mind. We started with a popular single - knob '70s fuzz circuit. Then, we added a subtle tone control (Lustre) and a separate gain control (Fuzz). This created a simple yet powerful fuzz with an earthy, dark flavor. Using a pair of 2N2222 transistors for straight - up transistor clipping, it allows guitar volume knob clean - up like classic fuzzes, but with a unique twist.
