Using the Alesis Strata Prime Electronic Drum Kit is a breeze. First, set up the 4 - post steel rack and attach the cymbal boom arms and snare stand. Place the drums on the rack according to the configuration that suits you. Connect the drums to the Prime Drum Module using the provided cables. The module has different inputs for drum triggers and the active hi - hat control, so make sure you plug them in correctly. You can use the 10.1 - inch color touchscreen to navigate through the drum kits and adjust settings.
When using headphones, you can choose between the 1/4' or 1/8' output on the module. For audio output, use the balanced XLR or impedance - balanced 1/4” TRS outputs as needed. If you want to connect external MIDI controllers or use additional storage, use the USB ports.
As for maintenance, keep the drum kit in a dry place to prevent damage to the electronics. Wipe the mesh drumheads gently with a clean, dry cloth to keep them in good condition. Check the tension of the drumheads regularly and adjust them if necessary. Also, make sure to use the correct power supply (19V 3.42A Center Positive) to avoid any electrical issues. If you're not using the drum kit for a long time, it's a good idea to turn it off and unplug it from the power source.
