Product Description

The 1967 Monterey Pop Festival was a landmark in American music. After it ended, the world experienced the amazing sound of a Strat® in a master's hands. Back in 1967, single - coil pickups were known for their bright and clean tones, but they also had that annoying hum. DiMarzio's Area 67™ pickup captures that classic bright and clean sound of the '60s. With its patented Area™ technology, it completely gets rid of the hum. It also reduces the magnet pull by 40%, which improves the sustain and clarity of your guitar's sound. The Area 67™ has the charming chime of '60s pickups, and in the 2 and 4 positions, it produces light, bright, and fun quacking tones. Features: Recommended for all positions; no quick - connect; 4 - conductor wiring; Alnico 2 magnet; 5.86 Kohm resistance.

Using your DiMarzio DP419W Area 67 Single - coil Guitar Pickup is easy. First, make sure your guitar is turned off. Install the pickup according to the wiring instructions that come with it. Since it's a 4 - conductor wiring, you need to connect it correctly to get the best sound. When you're ready to play, turn on your guitar and amplifier. You'll notice the bright and clean sound right away. This pickup is great for all playing positions, so you can use it at the neck, middle, or bridge. As for maintenance, keep your pickup clean. Wipe it gently with a soft cloth after each use to remove any dust or fingerprints. Avoid exposing it to extreme temperatures or moisture. If you have any problems with the pickup, like a loss of sound or strange noises, check the connections first. If the issue persists, it might be a good idea to take it to a professional guitar technician.
