When DiMarzio collaborated with Billy Corgan on pickups for his signature Strat®, they sent multiple models for him to test. He favored the Air Norton S™ for the neck, The Chopper™ for the middle, and The Tone Zone® S for the bridge. After gigs, he requested tweaks to the neck and bridge pickups. He aimed for a deeper low - string sound without losing punch and wanted to avoid muddiness with high - gain amps. So, we adjusted the frequency response of one coil in each pickup to boost bass and open up mids. These are the pickups now in Billy's signature Strat®. They perform excellently in humbucking mode and work great in split mode too. Specifications: Recommended for all positions, especially the bridge. It has a quick connect feature, 4 - conductor wiring, a ceramic magnet, and a resistance of 13.47 Kohm.
