The Air Norton™ was initially designed as the Airbucker™ version of the Norton®. DiMarzio thought it would be a great-sounding bridge pickup when paired with high-gain amps. But soon, we found it also works amazingly as a neck pickup. The tone is deep and warm, yet not muddy. It's hot, but without distortion. It even has cool harmonics, which are rare for a neck humbucker. The patented Air Norton™ magnetic structure reduces string-pull, enhancing sustain and making pick attack and dynamics highly controllable and expressive. Combine it with an Air Zone™, The Tone Zone® or Steve’s Special™ in the bridge for a perfect power-tone blend. Or use an Air Norton™ in the bridge and an Air Classic™ Bridge model in the neck for a unique medium-output blues-rock sound. Specifications: Recommended for solid-body and semi-hollow guitars. Using the DiMarzio Air Norton Humbucker Guitar Pickup is easy. First, make sure your guitar is suitable - it's recommended for solid-body and semi-hollow guitars. Since it doesn't have a quick connect, you'll need to do a bit of wiring. The 4-conductor wiring gives you flexibility in how you set it up. When it comes to tone, if you want a powerful and well - balanced sound, pair it with an Air Zone™, The Tone Zone® or Steve’s Special™ in the bridge position. For a blues - rock sound, use it in the bridge and an Air Classic™ Bridge model in the neck. As for maintenance, keep it clean. You can use a soft cloth to wipe off any dust or debris. Avoid exposing it to extreme temperatures or humidity as this can affect its performance. When handling the pickup, be gentle to prevent any damage to the magnetic structure. If you're not using the guitar for a long time, it's a good idea to store it in a cool, dry place.
