The 5150III® 100-Watt Head, the amp that started the EVH line, is a dream for guitar players of all styles. It can produce rich clean tones, raw rhythms, and soaring high-gain leads at a volume that can rival a drummer. This is the ultimate tone Eddie Van Halen spent his life pursuing, with a truly clean channel, a super-heavy crunch channel, and an incredible overdrive channel. Each of the three channels comes with gain, low, mid, high, volume, and presence controls. Under the hood, it features eight JJ ECC83S (12AX7) preamp tubes and four JJ 6L6 matched power tubes. It has a distinct EVH style, wrapped in thick textured black or ivory vinyl, with a black steel grille and a white front control panel. A four-button footswitch is included, and a high-quality fitted cover is available as an optional accessory. Specifications: 100W wattage, controls for each channel including gain, low, mid, high, volume, channel select, and presence, plus global resonance. Three channels (Clean, Crunch, and Lead), one 1/4' input, two 1/4' parallel speaker jacks, 1/4' effects loop (Send/Return), perforated steel front and rear panels for the grill cloth, black textured vinyl covering, white birch cabinet material, molded plastic strap handle with nickel-plated caps (1 top & 2 sides), total impedance of 4, 8, or 16 ohms, 8 x JJ ECC83S (12AX7) preamp tubes, 4 x JJ 6L6 power tubes, solid-state rectifier, includes 4-button footswitch and 5-foot speaker cable, dimensions of 30' (W) × 12' (D) × 11' (H) / 76.2cm (W) × 30.5cm (D) x 27.94cm (H), and weighs 24.95 kg / 55 lbs.

Using this amplifier is easy. First, connect your guitar to the 1/4' input. Then, choose the channel you like - clean for soft tones, crunch for a bit of edge, or lead for high-gain sounds. Adjust the gain, low, mid, high, volume, and presence controls on each channel to get your desired sound. You can also use the global resonance control. The four-button footswitch allows you to switch between channels on the fly. When it comes to maintenance, keep the amplifier in a dry and clean place. Avoid exposing it to extreme temperatures. If you're not using it for a long time, unplug it. Also, check the tubes regularly for any signs of damage. For the best performance, have the tubes replaced every few years as recommended. And don't forget, you can use the optional high-quality fitted cover to protect it when it's not in use.
