There's a special 2mil overtone control ring on the underside that greatly reduces excessive overtones and controls sustain. To use these Evans Genera Dry snare heads, first make sure your drum is clean. Place the head on the drum and tighten the lugs evenly, starting from one side and going around. You'll notice a more controlled sound right away. When it comes to maintenance, keep the heads away from direct sunlight and excessive humidity as this can damage the film.
