Using the Alesis Concert digital piano is a breeze. To start, you can choose to power it with the included power adapter or insert 6 D Cell batteries (not included). Once it's on, you can select from 10 built - in voices to get the sound you like. If you want a more unique sound, try the Layer Mode to combine two voices or the Split Mode to assign voices to different hands.
For those learning or teaching, turn on the Lesson Mode. It divides the keyboard so both you and your partner can play together without any hassle. When you want to practice quietly, just plug in your headphones through the ¼ - inch (6.35mm) output, and the internal speakers will mute.
When it comes to connecting to other devices, use the stereo RCA outputs to link to a mixer, amplifier, or recorder. The USB - MIDI output allows you to connect to a computer and use educational software or virtual instrument plugins. Don't forget to connect the included sustain pedal to the ¼” (6.35mm) input for that smooth, sustained sound.
As for maintenance, keep the piano in a dry and clean place. Wipe it gently with a soft cloth if it gets dirty. If you're using batteries, remove them when the piano won't be used for a long time to avoid damage from battery leakage. And make sure to handle the piano with care to prevent any physical damage.
