Product Description

First launched in 1976, the StingRay is an iconic bass guitar with a rich history. It was the first mass - produced four - string bass to have onboard active equalization. As the flagship of the Music Man line, today's StingRay still has the same classic features as it did forty years ago. It has a sturdy construction, an iconic oval pickguard, a 3 + 1 tuning key setup, and the well - loved Music Man humbucker, creating a unique look, feel, and sound. Specifications: Body is made of select hardwood with a high - gloss polyester finish. The fretboard is rosewood with an 11' (27.9 cm) radius. It has a 34' (86.4 cm) scale length and 22 high - profile, wide, stainless - steel frets with white dot inlays. The single humbucking pickup uses neodymium magnets. The bridge is a vintage Music Man® top - loaded chrome - plated steel plate with vintage nickel - plated steel saddles. The pickguard is black, and it comes with 45w - 65w - 80w - 100w strings (Super Slinky Bass #2834). The tuning machines are custom Music Man, lightweight with tapered string posts and an ergonomic clover design. The hardware finish is black.

Using this bass guitar is easy. Just tune it up using the custom Music Man tuning machines. The 3 + 1 configuration makes it straightforward to adjust the strings. When you play, the active equalization will give you a great sound right away. For maintenance, keep the guitar in a dry place. Wipe it down with a soft cloth after each use to keep the high - gloss polyester finish looking good. Check the strings regularly and change them when they start to sound dull. The stainless - steel frets are durable, but avoid scratching them. When transporting the guitar, use a proper case to protect it from bumps and scratches.
